Christmas

We have been very busy in December getting ready for Christmas!

We made Christmas Cards.

We made decorations from clay!

First we made a ball from clay.

Next we flattened it out.

Then we used a cookie cutter to cut out a Christmas shape. We used our pencils to make a hole for hanging.

When the clay hardened and dried we painted our decorations!

Then glitter and ribbon were used to get the decorations ready to hang on our Christmas trees!

We made hand print angels.

Look at our paper plate reindeers. We painted paper plates brown, coloured in and cut out the face and stuck it onto the plate. We traced around our hands and cut out the shape to make the antlers!

We read the story of 'The Jolly Christmas Postman'. We drew maps of the jolly postman's journey to deliver the Christmas mail.

We read the story of the very first Christmas, sequenced the story and coloured in pictures of a nativity scene.

We pretended we were elves in Santa's workshop.

We used pegs to make Christmas Pictures!

We painted stripey Christmas Stockings!

We played Christmas Bingo!!

We decorated the Christmas tree and sang Christmas Carols in the Christmas Small World Area.

Thank you to Natan for the delicious Christmas Cookies and to Josie for the yummy Christmas Tree Cake!!
