Five Little Pumpkins

We have been learning all about Autumn. The weather gets colder and wetter. We have to wear warmer clothes. Some animals are getting ready for their long winter sleep. The leaves change colour from green to beautiful browns, oranges, reds and yellows. We painted some colourful autumn leaves. We also learned the rhyme '5 little pumpkins'. 

Our teacher recorded us on her magic microphone and made this video. In the video you can hear us saying the rhyme and you can see our beautiful Autumn leaves. We hope you like it.

Fashion Show

                         

We have been really busy getting ready for our schools fashion show! This year we are making accessories. We have been hard at work making handbags, schoolbags, hand-warmers  legwarmers, finger less gloves, bracelets, binoculars, eye patches and hats! The fashion show is on Thursday in the school hall. We can't wait to see what the other classes have made.

 

 

 

D.E.A.R. Time!!

 

This week our class has been enjoying D.E.A.R. Time! 

D.E.A.R. means Drop Everything And Read! 

We love reading books and had a great time taking time out with some of our favourite stories from our class library! We are really looking forward to next week when the big girls are going to come and read to us!!

Tuesday was such a nice day we decided to go to the yard to practice our throwing (and catching!) skills! We had lots of fun seeing how far we could throw our beanbags and finding out how good we were at throwing the beanbags at a target (the hoops!)

 

Our School Walk

Today we went on our annual sponsored walk. We walked all the way to the playground in Corkagh Park. We had great fun playing in the park! We went on the swings and the slides. We climbed on the climbing frames and played with our friends. We were really tired, hungry and thirsty when we got back to school but we had a fantastic day!!
